HIGHLAND TACTICAL HLBP60: MAJOR RUCKSACK - (SOLD).
![]() |
SORRY, THIS RUCKSACK IS SOLD.
Occasionally brands will send YOMP NOTES gear for review. Once I've finished with it and with the permission from the brand, I'll sell it here to raise money to support the YOMP NOTES mission.
Usually I'll use and test the gear for some months so I really understand it, before writing a review or config. But in this case the gear only required photography so can be consider as brand new and includes swing tickets etc. However they have been removed for photography but otherwise, this rucksack has never been worn, never been used.
THIS RUCKSACK IS SOLD - £18.00 + shipping - (U.K. only).

The HIGHLAND TACTICAL MAJOR is a 33.25L rucksack is made from tough 600D water resistant polyester and is a great size for a Hikes, Rucks, EDC, CrossFit, going to the Gym, Work Commutes, Cadet Forces and even one bag travel.
HYDRATION ACCESS & CARRY HANDLE.
To the top of the rucksack is an access port for a hydration hose. The central carry handle looks sturdy and comfortable and given it’s probably one of the most used parts of a rucksack, that’s a good job. To the left and right of the rucksack are 2 more carry handles of the same design and comfortable construction as the top so you can swing this ruck like a suitcase if you want.
INTERIOR.
The main rucksack compartment has a clamshell access with two interior pockets. The pocket to the back looks good for a hydration bladder. To the front is a simple mesh pocket. Both are big enough for an 15.4” laptop or A4 note pads.
To the front of the main compartment is a second large pocket with clamshell opening. This pocket doesn’t have any capacity is best used used for laptops, notepads and magazines although spare clothing could be stashed here to.
ISSUES.
So I’ve checked this bag over and there are a few loose threads. The hook’n’loop field and the hydration port have some loose stitching but on closer examination it seems to be stitched securely none-the-less.
CONCLUSION.
This is a really nice, chunky and professional rucksack with a ton of MOLLE for attaching more pouches and gear. I feel it has a slightly rushed feel about its construction which is reflected in the price but all-in-all this a great rucksack for those on smart a budget.
FINAL NOTE.
This pack is brand-new, never been used or worn. It was used for a photo shoot therefore packaging and swing tickets removed but they are included.
The MAJOR HPBP60 is from Highland Tacticals 2018 range and an updated version of this popular pack is still available today.

LARGE ADMIN.
Below the first pocket is a larger more detailed admin pocket with dual zipper access to slots for pens, note book and cards.

SECRET POCKET.
Yep, love this. To right hand side of the rucksack and accessed via a zipper hidden in the seam is great pocket for travel documents and passports etc. as standard there is quite a chunky paracord zipper pull but if you swapped that out for something more discrete? BAMM you got a pretty good hidden pocket for your important documents.
CARRY SYSTEM.
The shoulder straps are generous and look really comfortable, with plenty of of attachment points and D rings for your important need-to-grab gear. There’s a nice 1” sternum strap so that buckle is going to be easer to us with gloves or cold wet hands. In addition there’s a very useful, optional / removable waist belt with a dual adjustable quick release buckle.
