Uluru [Ayers Rock] - A world heritage site situated in the red centre of Australia, you know where it is. In 2015 my wife and I were very privileged to be able to pop over for short but very interesting visit,
so interesting that it has inspired me to want to return and do a more extended mission and hike maybe for charity, all a long way off and still very much in the scribbled notes in the back of napkin, planning stage.
I have always liked the idea of a desert yomp. In theory I like the simplicity. Sand, sun, distance; direction and water being the basic priorities... in theory. So this trip a belated Honeymoon yes but also a RECCY for something more later.
This is a pithy photolog of our mission from Ayers Rock resort to Uluru to Kata Tjuta and back again.
